Derek is a modest master craftsman, equally proud of his National Concert Hall pipe organ and the piece he creates for you.
Derek and his team
Derek trained as a cabinet and instrument maker in London in the 1970s. From a genre of true craftsmanship, he takes enormous pride in every project, dovetail and inlay. Over 40 years he has honed his skills in design, engineering and the essential technical underpinning to each piece he crafts. He collaborates with a specialist team to faithfully honour customers’ concepts and chosen materials.
Dedicated to excellence
Derek’s modesty in his day to day work could belie the true depth of his unique talent. Relying on skills he developed in organ building in South Africa and the UK, he is the master craftsman who created the National Concert Hall’s renowned pipe organ. He is currently working on a commission to craft a signature harp for the Irish government. He’s a gem of brilliant talent.
